I Fly Like Paper Get High Like Planes

We aLL have that one chiLdhood memory of making paperpLanes, even annoying our teachers by fLying them in cLass. But gone are the days when you compared paperpLanes with friends and attempting to ‘outfLy’ each other by making it fLy higher or Last Longer in the air. Today, paperpLanes are repLaced with those high-tech gadgets that I’ve aLways find hard to get acquainted with, and the friends? Already mapped aLL over the gLobe. So how do we bring back those good oL’ days? That exactLy is the main goaL of the exhibit. So we asked our friends from aLL over (unfortunateLy, we couLdn’t find a contact from the Arctic or Antarctica) to take us with them to their pLace by taking photos of interesting spots in their area with an object that wouLd represent us - this is where the paperpLanes come in. The diversity in the photos is just raddd, from the differentLy made paperpLanes (the Origami paperpLanes from Japan are a fave!) to the unusuaL spots where the photos were taken. It just shows that we’ve got a bunch of creative friends! And we couLdn’t thank them enough for the time that they took from their busy Lives to participate in this LittLe project of ours. This exhibit is for them and by them, it is their exhibit, we are just the fortunate ones to execute it. ;-)

Festival Watch: Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival 2012

A good friend of mine introduced me this kind of festival set in the lush tropical paradise in our one and only, Philippines.

Specifically situated in the spectacular Puerto Galera area.

Local and foreign tourists celebrate music in various genres including tribal rock, ethnic beats. . etc. ..

Professional and aspiring artists participate and showcase their masterpieces as well.

I am so eager to experience this kind of outdoor celebration.
I reckon this would be an ultimate eargasmic experience!

If only time and finances would be available in the most convenient way possible.

Next year maybe?

should be able to tick this one off from my bucket list before my age-specific deadline!

Festival Watch: Sinulog 2012!!!

Once again we celebrated the religious and cultural festival of Cebu, Sinulog 2012!

As usual everything else was a blast!

As our tradition, we donned our identical shirts designed by yours truly. . . ;)

The roads were hardly visible during the Sinulog festival. It was jam packed with huge crowds that left no personal or even intimate distance between people. There were moments that it became a struggle just to breathe normally. *No exagg!*

According to the news, an estimate of at least 3.8 million people came together to make Sinulog happen in a tremendously successful way.

Yet despite of the abundance of the crowd, the event went prosperously and peacefully.

Thumbs up to the people behind the event. ;)

I was rather astonished when I witnessed this crazy crowd around 4 in the afternoon. It looked like they have been soaked with water, beer and poster paint for at least a couple of hours already. Overheard the shindig started at round noon that day. Wow, these people have high endurance! I recalled last year this scene started round sundown already. ..
God knows how long this party lasted!
