Laguna

  I
 sleep deprivation

 sumptuous meals

 long hour drives
 crazy ass friends
 guilty shopping

and this is because why. ..

Sometime in October:
Cebu Pacific Seat Sale Promo now up for booking online!

Mama Patshing calls up enthusiastically,
" Pre, Manila tah this December!, nag seat sale! "
Go-lng-ng-go attitude me:
" Lahus! basta weekend lang! "

So early this December. ..

1. We flew to Manila on a cloudy December 3rd afternoon.. ..

 2. Arrived at NAIA around dinner time ravenously hungry I could start seeing chicken thighs and steaks walking everywhere!!! haha

3. Headed to Resorts World and had a sumptuous meal at Cafe Mediterranean care of Ate Sandy! pizza, beef kebab, greek salad, shawarma, etc.. . it's like heaven in your mouth!
Dessert at Crepes and Cream
Strolled around Resorts World.

thank you Ate Sandy and Kuya Creighton!

4. Checked in at Crown Regency Hotel, Makati City around almost 11 pm.
Pampered much? haha.
And guess who showed up? Yep. Arvin!!!
sorry for being so makulit. pro alam namin di mo kami matitiis! nyahah!!! ;p
Konting inuman and late night snacks.
Sudden change of plans! Goodbye Subic for now.
Dozed off around 3 am.

5. Day 2 I.T.
Six plus a.m, we woke up groggy and light headed! but we really needed to be up early for bargain hunting at Divisoria and Greenhills!!!
That day was a very challenging one. Since we didn't have private transportation, we had to commute!
Taxi? - we loathe Manila cab drivers!
MRT/LRT - way better
So, off we went!
When we finally reached around Divisoria vicinity, a kind lady didn't hesitate to help and guide us around the unfamiliar and busy area. So off we carried on and followed her keeping our faith high to this thoughtful stranger.
The grounds were wet and muddy. And we only wore flip flops!!! Geez. Smart decision huh? Have we known it drizzled in that area naka sapatos na sana kami... So we bought nalang cheap and fake crocs (P70) anyways to save our delicate feet from becoming more filthy.
Bargain shopping all the way!!!
Strawberry shortcake was our official shopping bag!!! nyahaha
Greenhills thereafter and we shopped more...
Budget alert!!!

6. Around late in the afternoon, Daut, our girlfriend's boyfriend, fetched us from Greenhills and we drove to Cubao Ex to fill our hungry stomachs with some good food!
Cubao Ex is such a cool place. It felt like Outpost/ Turtle's Nest, Cebu. It feels so artsy and their holiday bazaar was just as tempting!

Got cozy and had dinner @ Bellini's. Nothing beats Italian!!! Love, love the ambiance, the food and the service as well!
FYI: This restaurant was featured several times in the One More Chance movie which starred John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, which is by the way my favorite Pinoy movie ever!!! heehee.. .

Afterwhich, it was time for our long hour drive to Los Baños! But before we proceeded, we dropped by Ate Sandy's humble abode down south to get the food they prepared for us for our trip. SWEETNESS.
Pampered much? again!

This was around 1 - 1:30 am in the morning of the 5th of December! And we were still an hour and more prior to reaching our destination! God. I almost felt like vomiting from lack of sleep!
Chaawikoy and I dozed off all the way while Matha and Patsy stayed awake and tried their best to distract Daut from falling asleep! Sorry guys, I just couldn't help it. hahaha.
Around 2:30 - 3 in the morning, we checked in a budget friendly spring resort at Los Baños. Time check. 4 am. Knock out! Zzzzz. ..

7. 6:30 am alarm clock screamed ♫♪ Shots! shots! shots!!! 10x♫♪... oh my..  Woke up this early and drove our way to Pagsanjan Falls, Cavinti, Laguna!!!
Mao ni ang resulta sa amo chang of plans!

I vowed to myself, before I reach my 30's I should be able to tick off all the wonderful places mentioned in Biyahe Tayo song by Artists for Philippine Tourism.
nyahahaha!!!
Day tour damaged us about P1,375.00. It was all worth it!
 Enjoyed conquering 16 rapids.
Serene river waters.
Majestic waterfalls.
Friendly locals.
I could not ask for more!

8. After Pagsanjan Falls, we went on a side trip to Tagaytay City for late lunch!

Best bangus I have ever tasted!

Enjoyed the spectacular view of the Taal, Lake.

Dropped by at Rowena's to experience Tagaytay's best sweet treats!!

Stopped over at outlet stores in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Budget friendly? Not much! yet I was still able to purchase my last buy!

Went home to Crown Regency Hotel, Makati City again.
 'Home' daw. hahah! So shal!
Packed our things. And I just couldn't wait to get home and get some real quality shut eye!

9. Day 4
MOA for KK's.
Ready to go home.
I was stoked to go home.
Can't wait.
I didn't mind going back to reality.. .

Touchdown Cebu.

thank you's

Stargazers and Love Letters♥

I never celebrated my birthday since 4th grade. It has always been an ordinary day for me except for sweet birthday greetings on SMS or facebook. I look forward though for presents from my loved ones. ehe. Anyhow, when I got home from a usual day at work, I found these laying on top of our living room table. ..

Sweetness. I could still remember the way I felt when I first saw this gorgeous bouquet. I was literally palpitating and I couldn't stop smiling! It has always been what I wanted from my boyfriend; stargazer lilies and a love letter♥ His first ever love letter!!!

Miles Away

I have finally watched Going the Distance film after a few days leaving the dvd in the clutter of my bedroom. I wanted to have a good laugh after a really tough day at work. So I fixed myself a little snack and sat comfortably on my fabric conditioner-scented bed as the dvd commenced to play in my laptop.
I find it really funny as I found myself CRYING instead of LAUGHING. I just can't help myself. I thought the movie was portraying my life. It felt so real and I was deeply sympathizing with the female character and the male character as well. Hands down to Drew Barrymore who was really awesome by just being her best on the film. Plus Justin Long was really a cutie.. . ;)
Anyhow, I just felt relieved on the thought I am not only the one who feels like shit enduring the complexities and challenges of a long distance relationship. It's been three long years and counting now and trust me, it's never an easy feat. Circumstances may not effortlessly allow us to become near each other but with patience, constant communication and trust we definitely reached this far and we have still got a long way to go. I am just divinely blessed to be with such an amazing partner who literally does almost everything for me, who understands my soul, who's vast stretch of patience willingly extends more and who submissively deals with an undeniably despicable me.. .
What I am praying for almost everyday now is I hope we would get the chance to really be together like physically. To live a normal love life. And whenever I feel like seeing him or vice versa, we'd get to attain it in the most convenient way possible without having to cross the ocean for once.
*Sigh*
Someday.
Someday.

Awkward Beauties

I have always been a huge fan of the renowned reality television show, America's Next Top Model for seven years now and I try to make it a point not to miss every cycle's episodes. There was a cycle though that I intentionally skipped watching because all  my favorite girls got eliminated and I just lost interest. Anyhow, I just wanted to share some of my preferred charmers that turned out to be the bunch's awkward beauties. It upsets me though they never get to attain first place (except Nicole Fox of cycle 13) and the judges always convince they 'lack personality'. The hell with lacking personality, their photos are screaming attitude and fierceness!!!

Cycle 2: Shandi Sullivan

was born on April 2, 1982 in Kansas City, Missouri. She used to be a Walgreens Pharmacy clerk, but left the job in order to pursue a modeling career in New York City. Her luck in the Big Apple was quite good, as she was able to balance working as a DJ and taking on small modeling jobs. Although she had a tough time growing up, having gotten involved with drugs and burglary, Shandi never gave up on her dreams and in 2003, she auditioned for America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 2.

Cycle 9: Heather Kuzmich

is an art student and American fashion model. She currently lives in ChicagoIllinois where she is studying video game design. She is best known for being a contestant of America's Next Top Model, Cycle 9, where she was the fourth runner-up of the show. During the show, it was revealed that Kuzmich has Asperger syndrome and ADHD

Cycle 10: Anya Kop/ Rezova

is a fashion model. Born in Russia, Rozova is a naturalized U.S. citizen who was raised in Hawai'i by adoptive parents. Under the name Anya Kop, Rozova was the runner-up of the tenth cycle of America's Next Top Model

Cycle 12: Allison Harvard

Allison has signed with Nous Models Management in Los Angeles. Since America's Next Top Model, Harvard has modeled for karmaloop.com. She has made an internet videos with fourfour entitled "Fake Blood" and an "interview" with cat Winston. Her connection with 4chan and America's Next Top Model also made her the subject her own Know Your Memeepisode.

Cycle 13: Nicole Fox (my favorite!!! yey!)

As the winner of America's Next Top Model, Fox received a six page spread in Seventeen Magazine, and an ad for Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara. Fox has also modeled for Illiterate Magazine, in which she had a spread, and been featured on AOL.com, More magazine and in OK! Magazine. Fox was featured in Wild Fox Couture's 2010 fall collection lookbook along with models Rachel Ballinger and Daria Plyushko, as well as in on-line ads for Spirit Hoods and in a campaign for Heritage 1981's Spring 2010 collection—which is a sister brand ofForever 21, and ads for Steve Madden Spring Collection. She will be in the campaign for Nicole Richie's "House of Harlow 1960 Spring 2011" fashion line. In January 2010, a news story circulated reporting that Fox would be the face of Alexander McQueen's new spring/summer collection, but this rumor was revealed to be false and has been debunked by both McQueen and Fox.

Cycle 15: Ann Ward

19 year old, towering 6'2" in height landed in final two along with Chelsey in cycle 15 America's Next Top Model. She's my bet since episode one and I hope she'll nail it. It would be really awesome if she'll grace the cover of Vogue Italia next season!!!

  Wanna be on Top?

Can't wait for the last episode of Cycle 15! ;)
